Upon Alfredo’s death in 1933, his son Umberto, who had married Eugenia Leoni, carried on the family business.
The second generation took over running the hotel.  Mario was also born in that year.
Under the direction of Umberto in 1960, further additions were made, including the first garage and six rooms in the central part of the hotel.
